History is made ...

... all the time and for those interested, we've added heaps to our historical archives over the last few weeks,

Check out the archives or go straight to the histories of  Our Club,  Our Australian Game or Our Town.    Our local history now includes a growing archive of articles about men from the area that lived and died during the First World War.

We've also in the last day or so added a Picture Gallery of the club's membership tickets over the ages.   Some club notes in footy records of the 1960s mention someone lending the club 1890 and 1907 tickets ... we can only go back to 193, but it's an interesting array nontheless.   Your membership ticket

2008 Coaching Appointments

Pre-season training started under our new coach David Teague and new assistant Matthew Lappin on Monday 19th of November with a total of 73 players in attendance. We look forward to the 2008 VFL season with a lot of confidence under our new coach, we are going to be very young but with youth comes excitement and opportunity. We welcome all the new boys to our club and we wish you well in your endeavours to become VFL footballers.

We have appointed four new people to our club to assist David : Vin Dattoli (senior coach at Bundoora for the last five seasons including four Grand Final appearances) and former player Rob Maiorana (1997 Best and Fairest, 92 games with Preston and about a thousand with Bundoora and West Preston!) will take the Reserves,  and Matt Pell and Sav Svregola will assist Adam White in intensifying training with gym work and boxing sessions.   We will be much more structured, very focused and hopefully a lot more competitive in 2008.

2007 Annual General Meeting

NAB Northern Bullants President Stephen Papal confirmed at the club's Annual General Meeting that the club is making great strides off the field and he expects the trend to continue.

The President highlighted the restructuring of the club's accounting system and a significant increase in the club's sponsorship revenue as key contributors to the fast turnaround.

Papal highlighted a number of other achievements for the club in the past 12 months:

He also paid tribute to the club's band of loyal volunteers who, despite his many years involved with local football, constantly surprises and humbles him with their dedication in ensuring that the football club prospers.

General Manager, Garry O'Sullivan, presented Life Membership to three of the club's longest serving volunteers. Lloyd Scott OAM, the current Treasurer, was finally rewarded with his Life Membership of the club, that will no doubt be held in high regard with a number of other accolades Lloyd has received over the decades he has been involved in local football. Graeme Smith and Graham Rhodes both also received their Life Membership, two very popular figures with everyone around the club including the players, were both clearly overwhelmed by the recognition. The club sincerely thanks all three of these gentlemen for their meritorious efforts over a long period of time and look forward to their involvement for some time yet.

Full adult members wishing to view the club's Annual Report can contact the club on 94702224 for a copy.

Around The Grounds

An unexpected addition to the doings of past players came a few weeks ago with the announcement that Ray Shaw has taken over from Vin Dattoli as coach of Bundoora after spending the last couple of seasons as a forward scout with Fremantle.
