HARVEY TO SPEAK AT ANTS LUNCHEON

Recently retired Saints champion Robert Harvey will be a guest speaker at the Northern Bullants Sportsmen's Luncheon on December 1st.

Having played 21 years and 383 games for the Saints, Harvey has now taken up a role as a development coach with the Blues, joining Darren Harris and also Bullants Coach David Teague.

Joining Harvey on the day will be 252 game champion Des Tuddenham and Carlton young gun Marc Murphy. Tuddenham having represented Collingwood and Essendon in the 1960's and 70's was a fearless and often controversial footballer that will no doubt have some great stories to share. Murphy has had some introduction to football, having been drafted with the No.1 pick in the 2005 National Draft, awarded the NAB Rising Star in 2006 and now being integral to the Carlton resurgance. Murphy is quickly becoming a cult figure at Carlton.

Daniel Harford, the much recognised media performer coming off his debut premiership as coach with Balwyn will be MC for the event. A third guest speaker is still to be confirmed.

The luncheon will be held at Rydges Bell City on Monday December 1st commencing at 12pm. The cost is $65 and includes a 2-course meal and beverages. For bookings please call the Bullants office on 94702224 or alternatively download booking form here.

The luncheon is kindly sponsored by Northpoint Enterprise Centre and Preston Travel Services. For more details please click here.

BULLANTS SECURE SADDINGTON

The NAB Northern Bullants have moved quickly to secure the services of retiring Carlton footballer and Bullants Best & Fairest winner Jason Saddington.

In a huge boost to the club, the 162-game AFL veteran will be a welcome addition to the Bullants list and provide great leadership both on and off the field.

The number 11 pick in the 1997 AFL National Draft spent eight years and played 142 games with the Sydney Swans before moving to Carlton to play a further 20 games from 2006 to 2008.

Saddington won the Laurie Hill Trophy for the Northern Bullants Best & Fairest, polling 89 votes despite only playing 16 of a possible 21 matches. Jason played primarily across half-back but also went forward when required and also formed a dangerous pinch-hitter on a wing.
